The BSA Bantam 350: A New Contender in the 350cc Segment
BSA Bantam 350 makes global debut: All about RE Hunter 350’s new rival

The iconic BSA nameplate is making a fresh splash, this time in the 350cc segment. The company has unveiled a new motorcycle called Bantam 350, which is heavily inspired by the 43 FJ sold in India since last year. The retro-modern motorcycle was showcased at the ongoing Bike Shed Moto Show in London. The Bantam 350 will be available in a choice of five colour options: Avalon Grey, Oxford Blue, Firecracker Red, Barrel Black, and Victor Yellow. Here's a quick look at this RE Hunter 350 rival, which may or might not be sold in India.

BSA Bantam 350: Key details

While the Bantam 350 has been revealed for the UK market, it’s hard to ignore its strong Indian roots. The motorcycle shares its platform with the Jawa 42 Bobber. Visually, the Bantam 350 borrows heavily from the Jawa 42 FJ that was introduced in India in 2023. Key design highlights include blacked-out treatment across the engine, exhaust, and alloy wheels. Besides, it gets round headlamps and an overall sporty neo-retro theme. Subtle elements like the Union Jack on the fuel tank and the "Three Gun Salute" badge on the crankcase hint at the bike’s British roots.

In terms of hardware, it features telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The bike runs on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, fitted with tubeless tyres. Braking is handled by a 320mm disc up front and a 240mm disc at the rear, assisted by dual-channel ABS.

Power comes from a 334cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motor produces 29 bhp at 7,750 rpm and 29.62 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm.
